More Responsibility.
More Opportunity.
Hookset's field compensation structure is designed around a simple principle: MORE RESPONSIBILITY. MORE OPPORTUNITY. Team members can increase their earning potential by developing additional skills and assuming greater responsibility for the projects they work on.
Compensation Tiers
Installer
The foundation of Hookset's field operations — separate from the sales tiers.
Compensation
Predetermined Installation Labor
Predetermined project labor, piece rate, hourly, or daily rate — established before work begins. The Installer does not automatically receive sales or project-management compensation.
Responsibilities
- ▸Performing assigned installation work
- ▸Following the approved scope of work
- ▸Following manufacturer requirements where applicable
- ▸Following Hookset workmanship standards
- ▸Protecting the customer's property
- ▸Maintaining a clean and professional jobsite
- ▸Documenting work when required
- ▸Reporting hidden conditions or scope issues
- ▸Reporting additional work before proceeding
- ▸Completing assigned punch-list items
- ▸Proper use and care of company or project equipment
- ▸Communicating jobsite concerns to the assigned manager
Sales
Acquire and sell the project, then properly transfer it to production.
Compensation
10% of Collected Contract Revenue
Once the project is properly transferred, production responsibility moves to Hookset or the assigned project manager.

How the Numbers Work
$20,000
Hookset's target retained project profit on a $20,000 project is $6,500 — equivalent to 32.5%. Actual required profitability may vary by project type, risk, overhead, market conditions, warranty exposure, or management approval.
Profitability Requirement
The compensation tiers do not override Hookset's project profitability requirements. Before a project is approved for sale or production, it should support:
Operator compensation should not automatically be reduced simply because a project was sold too cheaply. If the market will not support the required selling price, management must determine whether the scope, compensation, costs, or required margin needs to be adjusted before the project is sold.
Self-Generated Leads
- ▸Entered into Hookset's CRM
- ▸Estimated through Hookset
- ▸Contracted through Hookset
- ▸Paid through Hookset
- ▸Completed under Hookset
- ▸Subject to Hookset pricing requirements
Hookset may establish additional bonuses or incentives for approved self-generated leads — but those incentives must be accounted for when pricing the project and may not cause it to fall below required profitability without approval.
Customer Ownership
- ▸The contract is with Hookset
- ▸Payment goes to Hookset
- ▸Estimates are issued through Hookset
- ▸Customer information remains in Hookset's CRM
- ▸Change orders are processed through Hookset
- ▸Project records remain with Hookset
- ▸Warranties are administered through Hookset
- ▸Reviews are requested for Hookset
- ▸Referrals return through Hookset
- ▸Future work is processed through Hookset
Regardless of who generated, sold, managed, or installed the project — all projects performed through Hookset remain Hookset projects.
No Side Deals
- ▸Accept direct customer payments
- ▸Perform unauthorized side work for Hookset customers
- ▸Redirect Hookset leads
- ▸Remove customers from Hookset systems
- ▸Offer unauthorized discounts
- ▸Promise free work
- ▸Alter payment terms
- ▸Change Hookset warranties
- ▸Create unauthorized company documents
- ▸Use Hookset branding for independent business
- ▸Contract additional customer work outside Hookset
Additional opportunities discovered through a Hookset project must be processed through Hookset.
The Path Forward
Hookset's goal is to give skilled tradespeople a path to increase their income without requiring them to leave the trades or start their own contracting company.
More Responsibility.
More Opportunity.
Hookset wants skilled tradespeople to have a path beyond simply working for an hourly wage. Someone capable of selling work should have an opportunity to earn more. Someone capable of managing work should have an opportunity to earn more. Someone capable of installing quality work should be compensated for that skill. And someone capable of SELLING IT. MANAGING IT. BUILDING IT. should have the greatest earning opportunity.
Hookset provides the brand, systems, infrastructure, customers, administrative support, and business platform. The Full Project Operator provides the trade knowledge, customer service, sales ability, management, and installation necessary to successfully operate the project. When both sides succeed, the project succeeds.
